Harvey Champlin was the U.S. representative to the first modern U.S.–Soviet real estate joint venture consisting of a 500-room Ritz Carlton Hotel, residential and office tower, and center for the performing arts across from the Kremlin in the former Soviet Union. He was responsible for negotiation and finance including $350 million in loan guarantees from Soviet and European banks.
